About our Parish

We are a small rural Parish Council serving an area to the north and north west of Lichfield in Staffordshire. Farewell and Chorley operate alongside Curborough and Elmhurst to create a larger economically efficient council. We currently have a full compliment of Councillors, seven from Farewell and Chorley and six from Curborough and Elmhurst.

With a population of less than 1000 and a precept of around £4500 a year we are an active council holding meetings on the second Thursday of every other month commencing in January. We meet at Chorley Village Hall in January, May (its our Annual Meeting) and September. In March, July and November we meet at The Mission Hall, Elmhurst (next to the church). See separate section on this web site for details of meetings.

We also hold two Open Parish Meetings where parishioners can come along and hear what has been going on over the previous 12 months and the councils aspirations for the next 12.
